Cyber Pass was chosen by MaltaPost to develop the geotagging application required to store, analyze and present all of their access points located around Malta.

Geotagging is a process of attaching metadata to other records of already-existing information. In this case, MaltaPost required the addition of geographical metadata to the already-existing list of access points to postal services. This exercise enabled these access points to be geographically mapped out and appropriately displayed on the MaltaPost website. The collected geographical metadata also allows MaltaPost to systematically identify the density of the access points on its nationwide network, as well as other information related to their positioning.

Any MaltaPost website visitor can now easily visualize all this information and also search geographically for his nearest letterbox or any other access point. Cyber Pass also delivered a web based back-end interface for the MaltaPost operators to monitor geotagging in real-time, and to make the necessary verifications or manipulations where necessary.
